Checklist - Returning the Boat to Storage - Cleanup

Clean the Gear (If you were in Salt Water)
  1. Rinse all life vests that were used in Salt Water
  2. Rinse all wet suits and dry suits that were used in Salt Water
  3. Rinse all Surf Boards that were used in Salt Water
  4. Return all Stiletto gear to the boat, and your personal gear to your vehicle.
  5. Move all of the lead ballast to the floor of the boat, just behind the captain's seat



Flush the Engine (If the boat was in Salt Water)
  1. Attach the hose to the flush connector at the rear transom of the boat
  2. Simultaneously start the engine, and start the flow of water
  3. Allow the engine to run on the hose for 5 minutes to flush completely
  4. Monitor the temperature stays at or below 185 during flush, and the oil pressure stays above 30
  5. Stop the engine if there is a continuous beeping warning or temperature or pressure is out of limits (call Mechanic)

Clean the Boat

  1. Spray down and wipe down the entire boat.  Pay particular attention to spraying the prop, drive shaft, rudder, and all of the metal exposed to salt water.
  2. Spray down the entire trailer.  Pay particular attention to spraying / soaking the wheels and brakes
  3. If your vehicle contacted the water, spray affected portions of your vehicle.

Install the Cover

Disconnect the Trailer from your vehicle



Be sure to lock up the storage yard on exit.
