Will I be able to Participate at Surf-Thirty?

  • You do NOT need to have any background in surfing. (Most of the people we have taught have no experience in surfing)
  • You do NOT need to have any experience in other board sports such as skateboarding or snowboarding or wakeboarding
  • You do NOT need to be young. (At Surf-Thirty, we have taught people from 8 to 74 how to surf)
  • You do NOT need to be an athlete (most of the people that we have taught are NOT athletic at all.  Most are business people or housewives..)
  • You do not even need to be able to swim ! (We will put you in a coast guard approved life jacket, all you need to do is float)

Physical Requirements for Surf-Thirty:

  • You should be in reasonable health
  • You should have no outstanding "Doctors Limitations" (If the doctors says you cannot go in the water, don't...)
  • You should be able to bend both your knees
  • You should have no problems with your sense of balance
  • You should be able to stand, feet shoulder width apart, squat down with your rear (butt) close to your heels, and stand back up. Pretty simple, that is the most physical exertion you will face in getting up on the board when learning with the Surf-Thirty method.
